This pressing issue is further exacerbated by challenges like illiteracy, law and order concerns, high school dropout rates, corruption, and an under-resourced healthcare system.
Mustard Seed Global’s “Bush Angels” initiative has been steadfastly addressing this critical situation since 2016. Through this program, dedicated mobile medical teams equipped with purpose-designed vehicles and boats conquer challenging terrains to deliver life-saving health services to remote communities. A particular focus is placed on early cancer diagnosis, as numerous cases in PNG are diagnosed too late for effective treatment due to limited awareness and diagnostic resources. Mustard Seed Global’s Bush Angels paramedic units are specialists in early cancer diagnosis, equipped with cutting-edge tools and trained in international best practices. They play a pivotal role in identifying and treating cancers in their early stages, potentially saving lives.
In tandem with this, Mustard Seed Global operates a Social Enterprise Benevolence Hub strategically partnered with the East New Britain Provincial Government. This hub includes a bakery, coffeehouse, and an express supermarket. These facilities not only offer quality products but also serve as versatile spaces for corporate meetings and training sessions for our paramedic teams, further equipping them to serve the community effectively.
